Doxa Winter Retreat

DOXAWINTERRETREAT2016WebPOP! Culture has infiltrated the four walls of the church. In fact, it's hard to ignore our popular culture when it seems to be pressing into every area of our lives.

As Christian teens what are we to do? Should we escape and ingnore it? Should we embrace and engage it?

And, furthermore, what does the Bible have to say about Christians and our POP! Culture? Join us for our Winter Retreat as we take on topics such as entertainment, sports and social media.

Yes, the Bible actually does have a lot to say about our culture. And, no, it's not antiquated ideology that should be dismissed but Truth that needs to be embrace and applied to our engagement with our POP! Culture World.

Jesus prays this prayer on behalf of his disciples, "I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world." (John 17:14-18 ESV)
